It ain’t easy being mean. In effete morality, I maintain a masquerade of earnestness and modesty.

Tastefully hiding her triumphant smirk behind a light smile, Marie sat upright a little more, her fingers intertwining with one another as she placed them onto the table.
“The cost of repayment will come from a decided percentage of funds gained. Once the debt is repaid we will lower the percentage we take but we continue to tax Collin’s daycare as we see fit- all dependant on the income from each location.”
She holds a hand up as to interject herself before furthering on, cutting her sentences in half as to part way for a minor explanation.
“You will still be making a profit from your operations of course, but considering we are going to be paying for the brunt of accommodations on top of bills, we will need to be compensated. Prices will have to go through Miss Lupin before I give you any further details as well, so I ask that you sit tight for the time being.”
Hands returned to the table, one sitting idly on top of the other as she returned to her composed state.
“We will start by introducing 3 more daycares Miss Collins- one on the opposite side of Lilycove, as I previously stated, one within Mauville, and one within Slateport. These will be trial locations so we have a better perspective on the use of these daycares. The trial period will last- let’s say 3 months- so we have an idea on how well this enterprise will flow with consumers. If statistics are positive we will continue to expand our reach into different cities as covered before, a new location popping up every once in a while.”
She checks her watch as she begins to trail off, eyes returning to Avery after the half-second pause.
“I’ll allow you time to think over your decision, Miss Avery- this meeting was only meant to expand on our deal, not force you into a decision.” She began to pick up her papers, organizing them into a folder then proceeding to neatly push them into her bag as she rose.
“If you have any more questions or concerns you may call me.” In the middle of speaking she sets a card onto the table, nudging it into the middle of the surface. “One side has my personal contact information on it, the other Miss Lupin’s- though I remain stalwart in suggesting you contact me, considering Miss Lupin is never in a position to properly respond.”
Once she has collected her things, she straightens her clothes and presents a hand to Avery with a warm smile.
“Take all the time you need to get back to us, Avery. There’s no rush on getting your thoughts together.”
